Chili Cook-Off

Grey Face Rescue is hosting its 8th Annual Chili Cook-Off and we’re partnering with Back Shed Brewing! Enjoy samplings of all sorts of delicious chili for $10 made by local cooks from our community.

$8 for all-you-can-eat chili samples ($10 at the door)
$5 to enter your chili (must purchase entry ticket by January 8th)

CONTESTANT DETAILS

Set Up: 11:30 AM
Tasting: 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Winners Announced: 3:00 PM

REGISTRATION FEES
$5 per chili entered (each contestant receives a FREE t-shirt)

DEADLINE: Registration/payment should be sent in by January 11th! We will not accept registrations after this registration date.

Set up is between 11:30 am - 12:00 pm. You are asked to bring crockpots, serving spoons, sides (crackers, cheese, onions, sour cream, etc.). Break down will be at 2:30 PM. Winners will be announced at 3:00 SHARP!

Grey Face Rescue will provide 3 ounce cups, spoons, and napkins. We also have power strips. We ask contestants to make 7-10 quarts of chili. Last year, we had 100 people tasting.

TIPS FOR CONTESTANTS

  • Bring a crockpot full of WARM chili + bring an additional large tupperware of chili to add throughout the fundraiser.

  • In 2024, we had over 100 tasters join us so if you make extra, it will be eaten ;)

  • Have fun with it - bring fun serving spoons, bowls for condiments or a picture of your dog!

  • No matter if you win or lose, you taking the time to make your chili and bring it to our event makes you a WINNER in our eyes!
